Info and Warning For Office 2008 for Mac and Mac OS X Spaces

When you use Office 2008 for Mac with Mac OS X Spaces, the Office 2008 applications might not work as expected. This is caused by Spaces in Mac OS X v10.5 (Leopard).  With the release of Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard, a number of Word 2008 for Mac Spaces issues are fixed. For example, when the Formatting Palette is closed, there is improved performance between Word 2008 for Mac and Spaces.

The following are some known issues that can occur when Office 2008 applications are run in Mac OS X Spaces.

• When you switch between spaces, the Formatting Palette in Microsoft Word 2008 for Mac might move to another space.
• Word might open in front of other application windows that are running in the active space.

Recording sound with microphone

Press start. Then open up the Accessories folder. Select the Entertainment folder it will have Sound recorder,volume control and windows media player. As you know select sound recorder. It will start the sound recorder. Press the red record button to record your voice. When you save the file it will not be saved as a sound recorder file. Instead the default file extension is .wav. So next time you open the recorded music file it will load in iTunes, Windows Media Player or any other music player set as your default music player.

Downloading youtube videos

Start up Firefox. Then go to www.addons.mozilla.org. search download helper. Probably the first search result would be one click Youtube video download. If its not Find it and press the add to Firefox button

Converting songs to a format for your portable device

Open iTunes. If you don’t have iTunes  Click Here select a song or a group of songs to convert(to make a group get the first song hold down select and pick the last one) and after that left click on the song or group and select create AAC version and the copy that it creates is the one that your going to put on your phone or other mobile device.

Editing and Customizing the Taskbar

Right click the blank part of the taskbar. Select properties. To change the apearence click  customize in  the Taskbar tab. To switch between the appearence of older versions of window start menu’s go to the start menu tab. In the taskbar tab you can also select auto-hide the taskbar witch makes the taskbar invisible when not in use. To show the taskbar again point your cursor where the taskbar would be and it will appear again. To make your taskbar bigger or smaller unlock the taskbar in the taskbar tab and point yor cursor  to the top to drag it up or down.

Backing up your acer computer

To back up your acer brand computer go to the start menu in the left corner of the screen and open all programs. Select acer and you will see acer erecovery management.Click on it.Click create drivers and applications disc,select your disc drive and press start. Follow the instructions and burn your backup disc. WARNING always plug in and leave in the charger, this process will take a long time, do not unplug your disc drive.
